Course Description

This course teaches you the fundamental skills and concepts of JavaScript, the standard programming language of the web, used by 95 per cent of the more than 1.6 billion websites in existence.

This course is ideal for learners looking to get into the world of either computer programming, or website design. The course teaches you to write efficient, functionally powerful and syntactically correct JavaScript code.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand and use JavaScript operators, methods, and keywords
  • Understand variables, data types, and functions in JavaScript
  • Use Decisions and Loops in your code
  • Grasp the concept of Document Object Models
  • Create HTML forms

Note: Apart from a similar name and sharing syntax and some standard libraries, JavaScript is a very distinct language from Java, which is used mainly to write distributed applications for business, server-side web applications and Android apps. If you're looking for a course that focuses on Java, you may wish to consider our IT Specialist in Java course.
