This course teaches you the fundamental skills and concepts of Python - one of the world’s most popular and versatile cross-platform programming languages.

Does the course have prerequisites? 

This is an intermediate level course and as such, you should have some background in programming before embarking on this course. This can be either another coding qualification, such as the ICDL Coding Principles certification, or a third-level programming qualification.

Yes, this course is supported by an online tutor who you will have access to during the course.

What is the exam like on this course?

The IT Specialist in Python (ITS – 303) exam is conducted online. The exam consists of 35 - 45 questions and lasts for a total of 50 minutes.

Do I need specific hardware or software?

You will require access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Microsoft Windows (the most recent version is Windows 11).

You will be required to install a recent version of Python 3 on your machine. This comes packaged with a development tool called IDLE. IDLE can be used for the duration of your studies. This software is open source and free.
